Two brothers, James and George Philip, exercised their ministry in Scotland in the latter part of the 20th Century. As well as exposing their congregations to the systematic teaching of the Word of God, twice on a Sunday, at a midweek meeting and at a prayer meeting on Saturday evening, they also wrote daily notes for their congre-gations covering the whole Bible.
These notes were widely shared beyond their congregations as a great resource for hungry Christians and hard-pressed preachers.

George Philip
The late George Philip was minister in Sandyford Henderson church in Glasgow for 40 years. He produced daily Bible reading notes for his congregation and many outside it. His careful exposition and cross referencing has made them a useful aid to preachers. These notes have been made available by the careful editing of George and his late wife, Joy.
